The first thing noticed by comparing the two schedules is that there are no repeat broadcasters, simply because there is not enough airtime for that to happen. As previously mentioned, there were 15 broadcasters in 1974. Now, WAVM as a staff of 125, most of whom broadcast. To fit them in, there is one show per broadcaster. Of course, exceptions are made when one student needs to cover another's time slot due to a schedule conflict (i.e. football or field hockey game).

As you may also have noticed, WAVM no longer broadcasts during the school day as it did in 1974. The main reason was for the students to have the freedom to concentrate on studies while in school, especially when they have homework or to prepare for an upcoming exam. Students are still allowed to broadcast during school hours but at their leisure; and when there are no classroom conflicts. With this informal arrangement, a schedule isn't posted.
